Simone Biles

Simone Biles (born March 14 1997 Columbus Ohio U.S.) American gymnast who was considered one of the sport's greatest athletes. The 2016 Olympics were held in Rio de Janeiro and Biles became the U.S.'s the first gymnast of female gender to win 4 gold medals. She also won the title of world champion for all-around three times consecutively (2013-15). Biles together with her siblings Adria Biles and Ronald Biles were adopted as children by the grandparents from Houston. Simone first became interested in the sport of gymnastics when she was only six years old. Her coach Aimee Borman took her to Bannon's Gymnastix and they took them to a field trip. Biles received a silver medal for vault as well as a gold medal on the floor during the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. The year 2011 saw her begin participating in the elite level of the sport. She was the most dominant in her sport within a mere two years. Biles was distinguished by her consistency in performance, vivacious persona, and the difficult routines she performed in each of the four events such as vaulting, uneven bars, and balance beam.
