Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a singer who plays back also known as an actress, musician and playback singer. She is primarily musician and performer for Tamil and Malayalam films. She made her acting debut in Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut with Annayum's Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in an Anglo-Indian home in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea's father was an attorney at the Madras High Court lawyer. Her younger sister is a Belgian research assistant who has a job in Leuven. Jeremiah was born in Chennai went to National Public School. He graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea started studying classical piano at age eight. She was a big enthusiast who aspired to become psychiatrist. She joined the Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars at age 10. This ensemble shaped the foundation for her music and singing career. She was also a theatre artist in her college and was a part of several shows staged through The Madras Players and EVAM. Then she was the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea started her career in theatre with Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. In 2006 she played in a leo commercial with actor Shiva. Also, she was in an episode that was telecast on Podhigai. The actress has appeared all over India. She was briefly featured in Kanda Mudhal's final scene (2005). After she rendered a song in Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu she was asked to appear as one of the lead female characters in his upcoming venture Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea plays Kalyani who is married and mother to a man with whom she loves her. Andrea got the part of Kalyani in the wake of Simran Shobana, Tabu and other actresses were invited to audition. The film was released at the start of 2010. The film was released in early 2010. as part of Venkat's Mankatha in 2011, which featured a variety of actors. The actress made her Malayalam film debut in The Annayum of Rajeeev Rahthi in Rasoolum in the year 2013.
