"I'll be able to discern within the first 5 minutes if this is a quality beat. Once I have a tune in my mind, I will start writing immediately." I go out to my back porch with my guitar and lyrics appear and it's usually all done in under 30 minutes. Niykee says that as she matures as a singer-songwriter and musician, her memories of her childhood serve as an inspiration. When I'm not writing literally about things that have been a part of my life, all the hurt of growing up and losing my sister ends up getting pushed into my songs, she states. This influences my music and gives them a deeper significance. For me, it is the most important factor for success.
